RFS Cadets

The NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) Cadet Brigade at St Paul’s was formed in 1998, with a fire station and truck situated on the campus. Students are given the opportunity to join the brigade in the Secondary School. Our cadets develop teamwork and leadership potential, participating in community services and national competitions. Our goal is for them to apply the skills and experiences they’ve gained by joining an RFS Brigade upon graduation.

"Students have developed the skills here at St Paul's to lead and to bring others along with them, but they also realise the value of service. The confidence that they develop at RFS Cadets can be taken into the classroom, into a sporting team, and into life."
Mr Peter Horan - Former RFS Coordinator

"I was raised with the school values, like the importance of servant leadership and giving back. There's lots of people here from rural communities, so it's great we're able to implement our experience into the real world as well."
Cameron Luck - Class of 2024
